Next to fellow citizens Neutral Milk Hotel, Of Montreal, Reptar, and The Whigs, NEW MADRID are another gem from Athens, Georgia, that were raised by guitars. A few band members are recent transplants from Tennessee but there’s an underlying southern bite to their single “Manners”, which does consecutive shots of indie twang, college rock, and classic fuzz. It’s eclectic and electric, so take a listen below and look out for these dudes in the new year.
